Doll Toys

Doll toys have existed for many years. While these are often purchased as temporary playthings for children, some people collect them or have had them handed down as heirlooms. For these latter situations, their preservation is often of major interest.

Here are a few tips related to the successful preservation of doll toys:
•The ideal storage temperatures for a doll are between 65 and 70°F. Rapid temperature changes should be avoided as well.

•Be sure that you are storing such items with compatible materials. Woods, papers, and cardboard may include acidic materials which will destroy figures or their accessories over time.

•It is also wise to wash your hands before handling doll toys as the natural oils of the body can be harmful. With really old and fragile dolls, it may even be wise to don cotton gloves.
